Mini Robot Ready to Reveal the Secret Sea Bottom

Robots that dropped into waters off did not have great size. Mini-shaped robot that was predicted to be able to open the veil of the secret underwater life.

This is what is believed Jules Jaffe and Peter Franks from research institutions Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, Calif., United States.

They have a slightly different ideas as to create moving machinery deployed in the ocean for. Not to big like a robot to measure the size of the waves, are small enough.

The second dream robot scientists designed spherical. Because the shape of a mini, the robot can be produced much like a herd that can be deployed to various areas studied.

Because of the small shape, tentuk robot research object is also not something big. That is more intended for small organisms littered the sea and the coast, such as plankton and algae.

"This robot will give us information to determine how small organisms to survive, how they move in the sea, and physical dynamics which they experienced in their environment," Franks said, as quoted from Fox News, Thursday (12/11/2009).
